In 2011, she auditioned for Nogizaka46 and was selected as one of the 36 first generation members.[4] She was chosen as one of the select members for their debut song Guruguru Curtain released on February 22, 2012. On November 8, 2012, she made her model debut walking the runway at GirlsAward 2012 Autumn/Winter with Mai Shiraishi, who is also a member of Nogizaka46.
She was selected as the choreographic center for the first time for their 8th single Kizuitara Kataomoi, which was released on April 2, 2014. Her first solo song Hitoriyogari was included in the Nogizaka46's first album Tōmei na Iro that was released on January 7, 2015.
Nishino released her first photo book titled 'Fudangi' ('Everyday Clothes'), on February 18, 2015. It has sold 36,000 copies in a week and ranked 1st on the Oricon weekly sales chart in the photobook category. She is the second member from Nogizaka46 to release a photo book, after Mai Shiraishi.
Once she lost the position, she came back to the center for the group's 11th single, Inochi wa Utsukushii, which was released on March 18, 2015. In this single, her second solo titled Gomenne Zutto... is included as a coupling track.[8] She appeared on the fashion magazine non-no as an exclusive model starting with the June 2015 issue. In July 2015, she played the lead role in the Nogizaka46 drama Hatsumori Bemars.
On the night of August 30, 2015, it was announced that both Nishino and Mai Shiraishi were selected as the center for their 13th single Ima, Hanashitai Dareka ga Iru. This was the first time for Nogizaka46 had the double center performer.
On March 7, 2016, it was revealed that she would appear as an MC in the Fuji TV variety show Lion no Goo Touch starting in April. On August 28, 2016, it was announced that her 2nd photo book "Kaze o Kigaete" will be released on the 29th September 2016. The photobook was taken in Malta and Italy in 5 days.[16] It ranked first on the Oricon book ranking in the photobook category for two consecutive weeks and updated the best weekly sales record in this year.
